PREGNANCY AND INFANT LOSS SUPPORT

What if you were told your grief was not valid? That the person you are grieving wasn't 'real' or even a 'person?' What if you tried to move on, push forward, and yet, you were stuck with no where to turn? 

For many who have suffered a pregnancy or infant loss, this is their reality. Many times women struggling with this loss feel like everyone else's life has moved on, and they are stuck grieving a person no one else knew. They grieve every dream they had for their babies. They grieve every milestone that will never come to pass. They may grieve as they remember their babies brokenness and their inability to care for or comfort them.

According to the CDC, 1-2 pregnancies out of 10 end in miscarriage. Although the number is said to be much higher due to miscarriages that are never reported. That means at least 10-20% of every baby conceived will pass on in the womb before 20 weeks gestation. That means for every 10 pregnant clients that you serve, 1-2 of them will lose their babies due to miscarriage. 

In another CDC report, roughly 21,000-24,000 babies are born sleeping in the United States each year. This number represents babies who pass on after 20 weeks of gestation. 

Also, according to the 2022 CDC report on infant mortality, that is babies who pass on before their first birthday, there were 20,538 infant deaths in the United States that year.

What if you could minister to women who are struggling after a pregnancy/infant loss? What if you could meet these women where they are in their grief, and offer biblical hope, truth and healing?
